Let Me Be

Let Me Be

A Poem by James Tincher

Let me be who

I am. People

change like the

windblown sand.

Let me cry when

I am sad.  My face

is still, I'm not

always mad.

A lot of times I'm

just deep in thought.

Always searching and

listening for an idea

to begin my plot.

They always come in

pairs of two.  Then I

put them together is

what I do.

This all done within

my head.  A lot of

times nothing is wrong

is what I said.

My brain is constantly

looking all day and

night, for the next flock

of words for me to write.
