In The Arms of an AngelA Poem by James TincherBattling depressionCurtains close one moment and then they open the next. The smallest of things shuts out the light the life from my eyes and these feelings. It feels like a hundred years before the light will shine. When will the sun rise again? Emotions compressed into the smallest of places. How much more can be packed deep down inside this body? I fight it, not with punches thrown but with the hope that a sign is given to me the end to this draws near. One day an Angel will smile upon me and take my hand. She will make me a promise. Then in the arms of an Angel I will be and she will take me away. Where to, it does not matter. Just as long as she takes me. © 2013 James Tincher |
