All I Have

I guess I feel like all I can give someone are my words.

Movie star good

looks I do not have.  

Nor a chiseled physic

do I possess.  I am

simple and average.

 

No house upon the

hill.  No diamonds

or pearls. My cup

does not run over.      

 

All I have are words.

Just words placed side

by side one after the

other.  I can't help how

they fall into place

they just do. 

 

Any word I can think of

any word my heart can

beat, it is written.  It flows

through me to my pen

then expressed to paper.

 

I can put together pieces

pulled from deep within me.  

Expressions of the heart and

paintings from the soul.

 

However I do struggle

with the pen and I can't

hold a brush.  At times

it is hard for me to put

it all together. 

 

I am just simple

and average, that's

all I will ever be.
