Village Idiot

Village Idiot

A Poem by James Tincher

Look at me, I want you

to see the anger in my

face and the ugliness

of my heart.

The grinding of my teeth

caused by the control to

hold back the words of

hatreds purest form.

Walk away, I was taught,

yet I want to draw back

and strike you down with

all my vengeance.

You are nothing and you

think you are a man among

men.  A great leader of

worthy followers.

You are merely the village

idiot among jesters.  The

fool of fools and King of

all that is nothing.

One day my friendless

friend you will be seen

for what you really are.

The blind will see you,

the deaf will hear you

and no one will care for

you when you are gone.
