Beach Sunset

Beach Sunset

A Poem by James Tincher
"

This was inspired by a picture of friend of mine took of her kids in mid air as the jumped and played on a beach in Florida.

"

Sun sets beyond the water blue.

majestic colors so many layered

on top of each other like a child’s

bottle of colored sand shaken.

Clouds look a million miles away

from where my feet are planted.

Darkened they become as a fading

light lays its head down towards

the west.

The dusk stars awaken to begin their

night dance.  One by one they flicker

on like the lights of a marquee.

There is a calm on the beach.  No

one in my peripherals, peace and

serenity have been claimed.

The rolling waves start the evening

song as a fire is lit to celebrate the night.
