This is where we live

This is where we live

A Poem by itai

This is where we live

My stream flows to set me free
The mountain and the horizon
The young laughter
 in the summer's noon
The singing birds in the trees
The soft breeze and falling leaves
Beneath the sunshine,
Blanketed in peace we savour
The peanut sandwiches
Towards December;
The passing time in anxious joy
For you to remember,
Benjamin, Allen, Euphrasia
We are preserved like monuments
In moment
In all those songs of love
Dwelling on a lover that never was
Making dates in our minds
whilst mopping dirty toilet floors
Waiting on night time to arrive
so we could kiss our pillows
That is where we live
In cold Saturday nights and baggy jeans.

Dear Reader
When it was time, i did my perfomance
no matter when they booed me off stage
with my pain i would sing and dance
And she screamed for me, only she
From within that rotten crowd
Only She.
