A Poem by M.Babu
"

To those who wish their ‘eulogies to be symphonies’.

"

I want my eulogy,

To be a symphony.

My deeds acclimatized,

Into perfect sheet music.

I want it played,

Or rather lulled.

No words spoken,

No heads sulked.

Just notes upon notes,

That all make flawless sense.

They combine in a harmony,

That edges on intense.

I want the Thunder,

And His mate the Wind,

To deliver an interlude,

Worthy of a King.

A moment of silence,

During which.

The music speaks.

And smiles are seen.

I want nods of approval,

As the orchestra culminate.

Swells the music to a point,

Then leaves, with no fade.

I want such a funeral.

Where sad is the last feeling,

That people will remember.

But rather elation and satisfaction,

From a great musical number.

The way you start out this piece is wondrous and makes you see the imagery of what you're trying to seek. Music is a symphony but even Death won't be an enemy but rather the beginning of a new life.

This would be alot better then a normal funeral, more comforting, and better for celebrating the lives of the ones we love. Music is such a heavenly thing and it is naturally calming and healing so this would do nicely. This poem is so wonderful and lovely, 100

How we all want that our loved ones to celebrate our life and erase the sadness that overwhelms us when someone departs... I really like this poem.. 'notes upon notes' .. just like the soundtrack of our life...

nice! the linking of the music and the funeral - the lament - the requiem almost - the combination of the two was very well played here - then the subtleties throughout - music through life at different stages - notes upon notes - the wind - the music in all crevices of life - and ultimately the swansong and close - nice!

This is truly a beautiful expression of a life well lived.. of the joyous expressions of those you have loved and lived alongside.. The music of a life should play loud and strong, and that symphony rising to the winds when they are laid to rest.
