MOUNT EVERESTA Poem by M.BabuPersonal Tribute to George MalloryMOUNT EVEREST The path to your summit, Is all covered in brush, Sleet and ice from the sky’s permit. Treacherous trails to your steepest peak. I watch my footing Resolved to seek. Your breathtaking beauty, Atop the world. Meant for me and you And a few tough birds. I’ll rappel for days, Swing from boulders. To rest my face, On your awing shoulders. You’ve been my lover, For far too long, From childhood days, We’ve grown more strong. Entwined, interlinked Bound for life, Together we’ll be, Through pain and strife. I’ve got few minutes To savor your beauty. Where the Sky and Earth Embrace in treaty. Darkness threatens, But your powerful thrill, Stuns my soul. Sends my shoulders chills. Boundless aesthetics, Nature’s swirling color. You, my love, are a Beauty donor. It’s time to leave, Our time is brief. But the memory of you From me, won’t leave. Descension begins, You’ve taken my breath, Aghast with happiness, I fall to my death.
