THE POLITICIANA Poem by M.BabuExtremely mild political ramblingsHis voice louder than fireworks on New Years, He barraged orders up and down the hall, No respect at all for anyone, especially his peers, Truly a Politician, as arrogant as he was tall. His shoes polished, as a valedictorian speech, He ordered anything he so pleased, The Tax Payers’ money dug his holiday ditch, Truly a Politician, as imperial as he wished. His stomach spilling over his trousers, He made way everywhere he went, Respect and fear turning others to cowards, Truly a Politician, as straight as he was bent. His sly words echoing during his campaign year, He comes once in five years to appease, Building hospitals and schools far and near, Truly a Politician, as slick as grease. -M.Babu- © 2011 M.BabuAuthor's Note
