No cure for radiation poison. I was in the military. It is just a slow and painful death. I don't understand how countries threaten nuclear weapons. A nuclear weapon has a 40 mile kill zone. Next 40 miles will died slow and painful. Then next 80 mile will be effected with cancer and sickness. Man is mad. I pray for wisdom. Won't be no movie. One foolish country could kill a million people in a few second. Old world is becoming scary. A powerful poem. Not too far from the truth. Thank you for the excellent poem.

That's what happens when people go poking around, in search of greater wealth and power...the dwarves awoke the evil in Moria, and it consumed them.
In the Chronicles of Narnia (The Magician's Nephew) there's a war in another world called Charn, and the evil queen Jadis uses the Undeplorable Word - A terrible spell that destroys everything except the one who casts it. Aslan warns that someday, in our world, they'll discover a Deplorable Word that might plunge us into a winter deeper and bleaker than the White Witch's.
There is hope though - in 1994 South Africa dismantled her nuclear arsenal. The radioactive isotopes are now being used to treat cancer.
Swords into ploughshares indeed.
Awesome read!
Seems to be there is more than meets the eye...is there ever a cure or will they ever be truthful to us and say if there was so it doesn't look like population control...
Sorry, rambling, am lost in thoughts today lol
Awesome piece

well if they get it all wrong we'll all be walking around in suits like this all the time, so we'll have to hope the scientists get it right! i loved the ad hoc rhyme in this. fantastic.
A tongue-in-cheek look at our personal anxieties these days from someone quite distant from the issue .... or perhaps he has already mutated with the effects. Seriously though, there's been some concern with radon radiation ( from uranium decay ) that comprises 50% of background radiation in the air that we breathe.
shades of "twenty eight days later"! you had me flailing around in my radiation suit, from my plastic helmet right down to my nuclear boots! this is a very compelling and unique write. thoroughly enjoyed it, well done!!!
