The vowsA Poem by Mustafa MerchantVows that remained untaken"I could get married to you" she said. Under the dim tone of the room And with the glitter in her eyes she said. "With a list of my vows to you, and yours to me" she said. With the Verity in her voice she said. The enchanting words yet repel Like the sound waves into my ears. Echoing in the stillness of my nights, Inflicting the glands of my tears. With the vows still remain to be taken. She left me shattered and shaken. With every nights of crescent moons, Living like a promise kept to you. Heart continues to beat in commitment. Nothing has quit changed. My vows are to you, But never expect to exchange. So I vow to love you fiercely and immensely . As i alway did previously and intensely. I vow to always have you by my side, In your absence. And never demand for your presence. As your presence is a myth. A fairy tale which I once lived. And I still do. I vow to have the patience That my love for you demands. To speak when words are needed, And to share the silence when they are not. I vow to let you sleep in peace. And not sleep at all, and Just wait till you come to me with all the ease. To love you in all the form. In your absence and your musings. In all the lucid appearance that you form. I vow to live in the mould of your desire. To keep burning, to live up to the fire. To keep thriving towards being the way you admire. My vows do not expect any vows in return. They do not bind or constrain. I imagine these vows to my self. As i imagine you with our selves. © 2017 Mustafa MerchantReviews
