Itty-Bitty And Pretty

Itty-Bitty And Pretty

A Poem by Jock Engelman

She shall giggle at my total geekiness;
Her eyes shall sparkle at the sight of me;
Her smile shall gleam so beautifully;
Her nose so itty-bitty and pretty;
That even the angels shall show jealousy;

I shall stuttter, gasp and choke as I ask;
Averting my large dark chocolate brown eyes;
Scared, yet hoping you see I'm not like other guys;
Asking you to dinner, but I'm so shy;
I know if you say yes, my heart shall fly;
And without you I would just rather die;

This is really nicely written.. Very, very sweet too! I liked the last line of the first stanza and the first line of the second the best, and the imagery you used throughout. Beautifully pulled together!
