A World of Criticism

A World of Criticism

A Poem by Jock Engelman

You always have something to say to me;
Poking fun at all the things you can see;
Subtly criticising my style;
Always bringing me down;
Lower than low;
Picking and prodding;
Laughing and joking;
At every new idea;
At every new jacket;
At every new friend;
Yet you wonder why I don't respect you;

Our voices in our head can be the cruelest.

Nice and short. Nothing more, nothing less.
