THE ART THAT WINS HEARTS

It's not all that difficult you know,
When we were younger, our parents told us so.
That politeness begins with words such as these,
Excuse me, sorry , thank you and please.
The simplicity of these words can be seen and felt,
It warms the heart and makes it melt.
We've often heard that words are like bullets , and our mouths, the gun.
I'm pretty sure that an arrogant air must have pleased none.
Words are like healers and stealers, that's true,
They can make your happiness and break it too.
A simple gesture like a simple smile,
Can make someone's day who hasn't been happy in a while.
The opposite of polite is rude,
It's something that can kill the mood.
Be soft, don't raise your voice,
Since the root cause of all fights is a loud unpleasant noise.
Always get your point across politely,
Because no one takes bad behaviour lightly.
Control your volcano of anger by counting from one to ten,
Breathe in and breath out, think again.
Reflect and react,
That's the pact.
First emotion,
Then motion.
Feelings in,
Anger in the bin.
Aim wisely and hit those darts,
For it is only politeness that wins hearts.
It is actually not that difficult you know,
Because our parents told us so!
That politeness begins with words such as these,
Excuse me, sorry, thank you and please.
