Missing the person you love, in painful patience.

I shall think of you at night

When you are away and asleep

That my thoughts do not disturb you

And my secrets I can keep

I shall miss you, yearn for you

I shall wish you were near

I shall imagine your smooth skinned hugs

And the serenity of your heartbeat in my ear

Carelessly I shall indulge

In the deep solitude of night

Languishing in my thoughts of you

Patiently suppressed 

During daylight's stark hues

For it is between the moon and I

This bittersweet moment

Of both longing and relief

That I should ache to be with you 

And yet be glad I have found

The one with who my soul can drift

Drift and shift and soar through the skies

Navigating, bared teeth

Through this mundane, physical plane

Made more bearable together

No longer alone

No longer separated halves of the same.

very romantic ..subtly sensual .. such longing expressed .. i feel it .. well done .. fine natural use of language, rhythm and rhyme ..well done! enjoyed the experience .. closing surprised me as i expected her to remain dreaming ... but very positive in that they have been once more united physically not just in thoughts and dreams ..

This is about missing your new love when they are away, and you indulge in thinking about them at night when they're asleep, coz you're afraid your feelings and thoughts are so intense they might feel it if they were awake... and you're not ready to let them know how deeply hooked you are yet.

But you also know they are the one you've been searching for, so it's a mixture of relief, awe and looking forward to the future now that they are here.
