Lost on your own

Lost on your own

A Poem by Sam

Falling from the sky as a dream
Sticking to the ground below as nothing more than a lost wish
A snowflake going on lost journey to find it's match
While observing, we notice how alone we really are
We symbolize the snowflake, just falling and falling
While occasionally falling for someone
We may fall together for awhile
But in the end, we drop to the ground alone
No one to care, no one to notice
Just one other snowflake sticking to the ground
Our efforts gone unnoticed as we go on with our goals
Some complete, others melted and forgotten
We go on and on hoping someone will suddenly be interested
And then come to the realization with our own insecurities
That we will always be alone
Like the snowflake, we are forced to constantly be on our own

Great write, a very good simile, snow flake usually not alone but too lonely, expressed the message very effectively, enjoyed
