Getting over someone you thought was yours

What did I do wrong?
One minute you love me, and the next you're gone
I wanted so badly to be yours
To have a chance with you, I'd fight many wars

You fell head over heals for me
You said you wanted us to be
Then one say all those feelings vanished
Leaving me completely famished

Did I say something bad?
I only tried to help, keep you from being sad
Guess I smothered you too much
I just wish I know how and such

You didn't give me the slightest reason why
I never got the chance to say goodbye
It was over before it started
Though I'm still sad that we parted

I thought you were different, very special
You're looks are more than acceptable
I truly thought something could happen between us
But you ran away and caught the next bus

Wish we could at least stay friends
Even that came to an end
All I want is for you to find happiness
To be high spirited and full of joy fullness
