Struggle for Happiness

 

To trust in you was to die

The faith in me was a lie

To sell my soul for your happiness

Was to yell for forgiveness

 

To be happy creating life

Instead of destroying happiness

To live here in the day

Instead of screaming through the night

 

The weakness of the mind lies in the heart

Whilst the strength of the heart clears the mind

The pain of the past leads to a new start

And the strength within you may never find (alone)

 

The ever living nightmare inside

The terrible fear of being alone

The battles from which we cannot hide

Our life’s sins which we will not atone

 

And we wait our whole lives to find that one

And we search our souls for that one passion

And we brave the world until the day is done

But we may never be happy until our time has come
