Somehow It's Alright

Somehow It's Alright

A Poem by Sean

Somehow It’s Alright

The stars shine down on blackened veins

Fire burning on the coldest days

Silver lined corrosive habits

Tasting rain into the past again

On those nights it falls apart

I take the pain back to the start

I see the stars and I think of you

And somehow it’s alright

Plant the seeds that grow into statues

Silhouettes of the war overhead

Shadows looming in the brightened sky

The bruised turn to the dead and cry

Ravaged chains and beaten toys

Pierce the skin like I always do

I see the stars and I look at you

And somehow it’s alright
