I'll Be Your Mask

I'll Be Your Mask

A Poem by Sean

I’ll Be Your Mask

You don’t need to hurt for me

You can give your pain

You don’t need to burn for us

Let me take your stain

The longing within

The anger inside

That black shadow above

Put that cover aside

Don’t let it consume you

I’ll be your shoulder

Don’t let it break you

I’ll be your flask

I’ll be your mask

hm. this is really nice. the universal idea of a veil covering whats truly there is obvious, and i like it :)
i love the way you ended with a last line, seperate from any stanza. i do that a lot with my own poetry and i think its a great technique :)
i do have one form of constructive criticism, though? in the first stanza, i would make that 'let me take your strain' rather than 'let me take your stain'. i dont know, it just makes more sense as a rhyme for me :)
but anyway, great poem!
