Such a burden placed upon myself by me

So much pain in this heart, burdened by my self hate

There must be so much rest in death

Never again feeling such a weight

 

The scars I have will never heal

The hurt they bring will never wane

I search for a little happiness to steal

A search forever in vain

 

You cannot escape the past when you have hurt so badly

You cannot run from the problems when there are so many

But you can look for happiness through the long night

You can look for someone to give that happiness to

And you can live forever with that love in your heart
