Local God..

Local God..

A Poem by MusicMyLife

I slept with a knife,
In a bed so cold,
The world scares me,
Sends shivers through my soul,
I used to sit,
Beneath the most beautiful tree,
In a grassland full of peace,
But now i stay in doors,
Ready for war to cease.

The flowers,
On the window sill,
Are dying,
Like my heart,
I am striving to breakaway,
From this hub i rot in,
This cities buildings drenched in sin.

Do you hear my plea?
Do you not see,
My eyes showcase,
The fear,
That burns inside of me,
A stubborn fire that insists not to die.

A bird flies away,
It was perched on the shoulder of God,
A local God,
That sings hymns of graciousness,
I look out the pane,
That restrain,
Is keeping me back from shaking his hand,
I want to feel the fresh air upon my head,
I want to jump into the sea,
I want to cover myself in sand.

I carry the legacy she left,
That darling angel,
Forceful in her pursuits,
She left this land,
With my golden ring in her palm,
I have her face fixed upon my mind.

Do you hear my plea?
Do you not see,
My eyes showcase,
The fear,
That burns inside of me,
A stubborn fire that insists not to die.
