I Wonder...

I Wonder...

A Poem by MusicLove93
"

A really old piece I found in a notebook somewhere. Decided to post it anyway ha

"
Phone full of numbers,
Yet not a single person to call.

Room full of faces,
No real friends here at all.

Town full of bodies,
Yet not a single soul around.

City full of houses,
Yet, no home to be found.

I wonder when the time will come,
When the numbers will become people,
The faces into friends,
The bodies into souls,
And the houses into homes.

Wow! The questions run so deep in this poem. A sign of the genius mind at work. Ummm --as Reading Music put it --speechless --nobody's ever wondered about this before. For those who say "ahead of your time" please disregard, keep moving forward with this talent, never surrender, and you will become the standard by which all others write.

They claim the church is a house of God but I've seen mechandise more than mercy there...the homeless still are in the street while these huge buildings stand on every corner growing larger each year...but the hungry and poor still have no place to live...something is wrong with that picture.

WOW!!! I wish I could find something in a notebook like this. It is crisp and practical. (meaning the images form quickly, for me) Sometimes it's nice to just spit out what you're saying, and then you add to it that last stanza, and it completes your thoughts. (hope that made some sense) They're all things that we wonder when we move to someplace new. I've felt that way all of the eight times I have. Wonderful insightful little poem to dig up. What a treasure. Thanks for sharing it. :)

Very well said.
Great piece, Very simple and very senseless.
The words were beautifully rhymed and displayed a very overlooked message.
Your creation made me feel How inhuman our society and lifestyle has become. Really enchanting write.

Yes, I often wonder this same thing...

"When the numbers will become people,
The faces into friends,
The bodies into souls,
And the houses into homes. Well penned!
