Falling

Falling

A Poem by Ellianah Ross

Sinking down into the depths of utter despair

I have no idea how I got there

Pain's a hard thing when there's no one to share

My joy and my hope got caught in a snare

Try calling for help, I wouldn't dare

I'm leaning back in an old wooden chair

I finally see life isn't fair

Where life went, I wouldn't know

The seeds I planted I now have to sow

My fear seems to only grow

I seem to be all out of dough

inside of me, bloods going to flow

all my anger I'll soon have to show

I'm falling in, my despair in tow

I realize life is what we make

It won't be good just for our sake

We need to be clean, dive in a lake

Like a horride dream, I'll never wake

And finally, my life I will take

The good is gone, swept away by a rake

My determination you'll never shake
