giving in to me

giving in to me

A Poem by Em North

so much confusion

such disbelief

ending at the wrong conclusion

filling me with grief

saying i think i love you

and hearing nothing in return

my heart skips a beat or two

and here's another lesson i have to learn

there's music playing softly

and your eyes are like a wall

my heart is calming slowly

and from my face tears fall

i turn to walk away from you

theres no more to say tonight

you say "i love you too; i do."

grab my wrist and hold me tight

the smile on your face compares

to that of dreamy felicity

you lick your lips and your eye dares

my tongue to taste your lips your delicacy

theres passion in the air tonight

emotions running high

crazy days of memories are our shining light

to show the way to what is right our moment wont pass us by.
