Kindred Spirit

Kindred Spirit

A Poem by Muse182

This feeling of joy blooms
So rapidly it grows and consumes

I feel it in my bones as I wake
so swiftly does it overtake

There is only you in my mind
The rest of the world has been left far behind

With your mere voice
You haven't given me a choice

You've established yourself within me
Deep in the recesses of my soul you have come to take residency

How you make my hands quiver and my heart pound
That deep unusual voice sending electricity dancing with its musical sound

How this love does ripen
My grey melancholy skies so happily brighten

For you have returned me to the woman I used to be
Childlike, pure, and completely carefree

Genuine smiles gleam and abound so plentifully
I'm no longer alone, vast and empty

I am full to the point of bursting
My lips left thirsting

For your sweet kiss
All those lavish wonders I so ardently miss

For my heart has grown wild and alive
And finally I feel like I can survive

I can finally be satisfied with my days beyond
Seal this everlasting bond

For I long to be bound to you
To wake each morning with your face in view

For I have found a spirit like my own design
And how I long to say you are solely mine

I ache for your fingers to trace my spine
Their touch to be gentle, sweet, and kind

I hear you in the music and in the air
I see and feel you everywhere

I will take care of you
If you would only ask me to

For I adore to love you
