Always In the Rain

Always In the Rain

A Poem by Cassiopia Summers
"

What I think about when I'm walking in the rain.

"

June 30, 2011

Always in the rain, my tears freely fall.

Diamonds gently gliding down my cheeks,

staining the earth with pain.

Always in the rain.

Always in the rain, I hear your tender voice within.

Scrambled scenes splashed behind eyes

of past memories, and wishful fantasies.

Always in the rain.

Always in the rain, my heart consumed

by raw emotions. Lost hopes of ever

being kissed by you in the energetic downpour.

Always in the rain.

Always in the rain, I think of you.

Standing alone in the soft touching drizzle,

soaked through to the skin I long for the sweet could have beens.

Always in the rain...

Beautiful metaphor!

Wow that is an amazing poem... seriously it is so deeply emotional... I love the use of always in the rain over and over. It is certainly tough to be in love with someone who is not in love with you.
