Wishing PuddleA Poem by Cassiopia Summers![]() I saw a puddle and it reminded me of a Wishing Well.![]() See that puddle on the ground your wishes, there they shall be found. You wish you may, you wish you might. I wish to find where my secrets lay, even if, in the end, I shall have to pay. This coin, here in my right hand I will throw it in and watch it land. The ripple effect will make me wonder, prove to me all I feel is the hunger. The need to know what my future holds, should I look, should I see, fate already has me sold. You wish you may, you wish you might. Today I looked into the wishing puddle, my thoughts the images did muddle. I saw today what nobody should, pictures I'd erase if only I could. You wish you may, these thoughts you think lead far away You wish you might, for you must be careful what you wish tonight. © 2010 Cassiopia SummersAuthor's Note
