O Mater Luna

O Mater Luna

A Poem by Cassiopia Summers
"

Inspired by a book series I am reading, Daughters of the Moon.

"
O Mater Luna, Regina mas, adiuvo me nunc.
O Mother Moon would you please bestow upon me
your wondrous gifts?
Teach me the wonders
of your beautiful nights.
Reveal to me each whisper
of wisdom, each word of truth.
Give me the power to withstand
all my fears shadows bring.
O Mater Luna, Regina mas, aduivo me nunc.
I wish to be born from you,
so give me the strength I need.
I cherish you my mother,
and for you it is the truth I seek.
Someone once whispered to me,
Tu es dea, filia lunae.
O Mother Moon, do you agree? Am I your daughter moon?

O Mater Luna, Regina mas, adiuvo nunc.
O Mother Moon, Queen of the night, help me now.

Tu es dea, filia lunae.
You are a goddess, a Daughter of the Moon.

Mother Moon, would you please, make me a Daughter of you.

Wow such a interesting poem... I can imagine how the books are... I myself am a child of the night ho finds a mysterious connection to the moon so I really enjoyed this.

Very intriguing, and has a smooth, calm flow and an energy that hums throughout it, a softly spoken plea for knowledge, understanding, and maybe acceptance.
Enjoy it X

Lol, when I first looked at it, I thought this poem was completely in another language, and I freaked! I don't know what language it is, and I don't understand it...But the stuff in English was great! I LOVE the moon, and this really got to me. Love it sooo much!

This is very very vivid and beautiful, full of longing and hope. I've seen the book your referring to, it looks good but I haven't read it. It sure inspired a very wonderful poem.

And truly inspiring this poem was... Idk why, but my eyes welled up a little at this. I guess the longing shown here caught me too... Beautiful piece.
