After EffectsA Poem by Cassiopia SummersJust something that popped into my head.
How can we have a "friendship"
when everything we remember is our love and "relationship?" We were childhood best friends, did everything together everyday, later became childhood sweethearts. Something as simple as a friendship after being so close for so long is nearly impossible. Now it's like we're mere acquaintances the kind where everything is forced and awkward. Every time I see you I yearn for what was, a hello kiss, a good-bye kiss, but the expectations leave the ache of wanting more. The after effect from laying eyes on you is one of sadness and heartache for everything that was or could have been. I suppose now we're left to decipher our own fucked up situation, and hope to settle it, but I fear it's too late to fix the after effects. © 2010 Cassiopia SummersAuthor's Note
