Without You

Without You

A Poem by Cassiopia Summers
"

Thanks again Joe! (:

"
With you I was strong,
without you I am weak.

With you nothing I did was wrong,
without you nothing reels right.

With you life was lived,
without you death caresses my every nerve.

With you fear was the night,
without you fear is my light.

With you I was scared of light,
without you I am scared of the dark.

With you I was everything including insane,
without you I am nothing but sane.

With you I was weak,
without you I am Strong.

I liked this poem. I liked how the ending changed at the poem. Because you said you were strong with him and weak without him. And the ending is your a weak with him and strong without him. You don't need a man to make you strong. You only need yourself. Being able to recognize that is a good thing. Thanks for sharing. Going into my favorites.

I like the change, sometimes we just need some time to let everything fix, sometimes that time is a few seconds. Great write.

With Love,

A simple statement describing your heart and how you have changed... I like it, short and very sweet.

Very nice. Took me a second to shift gears when you changed your perceptions. It seems to me that this is your progression after a breakup. At first all you can think of are the good things and you long for their return. Through time, you progress to where you realize the relationship wasn't working for a good reason and you are better off without him. Sounds healthy if that's where you were going with it. I thought it was a great use of contrast.

The person speaking in the poem seems very confused about how they feel about this other person. Makes perfect sense because sometimes that's how relationships can go. A person has got to decide if its worth the ride or not. I think this is nicely done.
