Feeder of Innocence

Feeder of Innocence

A Poem by Cassiopia Summers

Darkness prowls on the edge of her vision,
twisting and turning she slams to the floor,
all hope gone.

Bound by an invisible chain of fear, she screams,
but sound disappears in a dark,
 hollow room.

Naked she lies,
as prey she falls,
to a man who feeds on innocence.

Oh wow. This is unbelievable. So short, but when I got to the last line, it felt like a punch in the stomach. Brilliant write, very powerful. Wow. 100/100 it's going in my favorites.

Your poem is powerful, dark and frightening. Very short and packs quite a punch. You create a scene with few words and a short poem and you did it quite well. This is quite haunting, actually. It has an emotional impact for sure.
