Boat

Boat

A Poem by Kate

A boat on the shore
Submerging its parts
Like a tooth in a jaw
Gripping it tight
My body aboard
Splayed playfully swayed
In the calm before the storm
Nothing is flawed
Last sunny rays
Not being caged
Is what I dread losing most days
