Funeral

Funeral

A Poem by Kate

Above the church
Black clouds
Inside
The white walls
Jesus Christ
The coffin brought
On the shoulders of the bold
Tears dropped
Through a eulogy delivered by the boy
Blessings, prayers
Silent breaks
We bowed our heads
In respect
***
She was young
Mother, wife
Fifty three
Too soon to die
But she is alive
At the cross
In the God's light

my mother died this year. she was not that old either, i was only 33 then. maybe that is old enough to be an adult but it's too young to lose a mother. and now i only hope that she is in the land of the buddha and happy there. but i am left here and i don't know what to do.
