Strawberry

Strawberry

A Poem by Kate

I am fluttering on your palm
Like a luminescent butterfly
I am lingering on your mind
Like a strawberry on your tongue
I am warming you up
In my blossoming arms
I am reviving atoms
Of which I'm made up
I am cupping my bosom
Like your hands my bottom
***
Our loins intertwined
Like roots of tree trunks
Conceiving a new life

i find it hard to believe that English is not your first language. you are like a modern day Joseph Conrad. the inventive ways you put words together, like: 'I am fluttering on your palm,' and 'Our loins intertwined,' gives the reader a pleasant shock. this is fantastic poetry.
as an English teacher, i will just advise you to read more and write more and look for inspiration everywhere. i look forward to reading more of your work.
