Poetry

Poetry

A Poem by Kate

Poetry is my kindred spirit
Without texture genetic structure
Colour or gender
Quiet and deafening it is pervasive
Yet difficult to capture
Poetry like spores lies dormant
Until brought forth by a peculiar voice
Seeping through darkness
From an unknown source
Poetry does not discriminate
Any age religion taste or culture
Any experiment on language nature
Poetry does not judge bully or harass
Any oddity or strangeness
It accepts all castes and deviations
It is a rebel at heart
And like any form of art
It plays with whatever it has found
Hanging around
It purifies heals dissipates qualms
When recited it stings like sharps
Each word organised fluent and smart
Poetry is cathartic and blunt
And if not for everyone
Then at least for some
