Woods

Woods

A Poem by Kate

Uneven stairs
Nature's flair
Made of roots
Wisdom of the woods
Melodies of trees
Sound in my ears
Bellies of berries
Shiver in the breeze

Sunny rays
Cross my face
Caress my fear
Like your beard
Like your gaze
Shadowing ponds
Playing frogs' songs

In a peaceful stroll
When feeling low
I meet true self
Cracking shells
And making sense
Of my ascent

About
I come from the Czech Republic. I've been studying English for several years (I am just about to finish my studies). I started writing "poetry" that doesn't rhyme in Czech, but one day I lapsed into E.. more..
