Kashmir

Kashmir

A Poem by Kate

I am magnetised by
The Kashmir's eyes
Divinely dark
Like a cocoa bar
His culture so foreign
To mine
His voice harsh
To my surprise
Perhaps resentment
Towards the white
I do not mind
I mean no harm
But in his glance
I am a ghastly sight
Of the colonial past

About
I come from the Czech Republic. I've been studying English for several years (I am just about to finish my studies). I started writing "poetry" that doesn't rhyme in Czech, but one day I lapsed into E.. more..
