Shades of greyA Poem by Kate
Shades of grey
Are laying down their Last minute rays Curling up In front of the hearth Blackened by the family past Fire stubbed out Like the cigar Tied to the corners of His hideous smile Full of soot Pulsating in bursts Between periodic snooze Shades of grey Shooting like bullets Tissues decayed Due to his age Framing trails Deeply into The epithelial cells Gutters for tears Grooving the lips With late autumn breeze © 2021 Kate |
