Call it perhaps She?A Poem by Kate
She was so solitary
In the field A forlorn figure Weeping heavy tears An apron green Dotted with splashes of bleach Her elbows resting On the bones Ochestrated Skeletal tones Hugging the heart The diamond of sole Like the cloud Passing its current Onto the barren countryside Cheeks so wide Rosy and yet so white The orbits full of life Yet devoid of sparkle and laugh She let loose A muddy sigh A stream of vibrations Miniscule molecules Frolicking on waves Toward spells of The sizzling sun She was so solitary In the field The apron creased By inert breeze Scaring crows In her ragged blouse © 2021 Kate |
