Morning gloryA Poem by Kate
Morning glory
Smell of rain Rustling sounds Of sleeping brains Time has come For the dark night To turn into the sun Rueful faces Sombre streets Empty baskets Next to beggars Gilt trinkets In their pockets Black plaque Garnishing their mouth Rich men Heavy golden chains Braces snapping For they are so stout Behold beware They are the ones Avarice twinkling In their eyes Justice smiting Chubby cheeks Fair breeze Elevating my dreams Merry people Profuse laughter Free from disease We can all live in peace © 2022 KateReviews
