Cell

Cell

A Poem by Kate

I pray for better days
In my mother's womb
As my father's sperm
I swim like a diver
A cell with a tail
So miniscule
In a vast land as a prey
For a chemical array
Of killers and cellular brigade
Trapping me in the net
Of biological threats
I shed no tear and let
The nucleus in the midst of my head
Usher me toward an egg
Whose membrane of
Chocolate sweet Sundae
I ram and screw threw
In a frenzy lest I lose
The game of speed and one attempt
I pray for better days
In a prenatal phase
Tugging on the umbilical cord
I kick and gulp uterus juice
I am the winner
Rudimentary and tiny nipper!

Dear Kate. Detailed description written my friend. The cell, strong and sometimes, unstoppable. A amazing poem.
