A Beatiful Bliss

A Beatiful Bliss

A Poem by Kate

A beautiful bliss
Arose in my heart
As I opened myself
In a lotus ready to fly
A beautiful mantra
Chanted in my guts
Coaxing me into
Adventure as peaceful
As Buddha sitting under a branch

A beautiful bliss
Was awaiting me
Rewarding my
Feet, ankles and knees
Twisted into shapes of
Triangles stretching my legs
Into wheels and boats
Flexing and extending
The hips and the back
Into a bridge at which
Statues of animals
Lining its edge
Wrung out my elbows
In an eagle pose
And slid my extremities
Into monkey splits
Soothing me in a pigeon and fish

As a child I bowed
My forehead onto the ground
Bathing my lips
In its energetic streams
As flat as a corpse
Invigorating my sole
I collapsed
Into Savasana exhaling
Deep HAAaaaaa

-

To cleanse the vessels of

Ida Pingala and Sushumna

And to attain
That blissful state
Palm to palm
Palms to chest

-
Namaste
