Gig

Gig

A Poem by Kate

Early I am, the first
In a nice-litt bar
Where she´s going to play
Where she s going to sing
Music as our lullaby
Knowing noone
I´m not discouraged
I´m intrigued and pride
I can do it
Without anyone on my side

Her nose stud sparkles
In the cure bar
Where I´m a stranger
And she is a star
Younger than me
But a prolific and creative mind
Occupied with gibberish
Socialising guests are
I don´t I´ve never I´m not
Do, done, doing so
I am not missing out

Alice Dale, I´m discovering
Your pierced sole
By the first words
You are throwing my way
While lonesome I am
In a black-leather bar chair
As much as I´d be at home

Your make-up suits the dark
And your strong hoarse voice
Settles me down
Into the seddle of the Easter night
Whose acoustics are great
Tuned while musicians of heavy fame
Commence your life performance
Of the Sunday´s importance
In which you are the DJ
And I am your diminutive fan

I come from the Czech Republic. I've been studying English for several years (I am just about to finish my studies). I started writing "poetry" that doesn't rhyme in Czech, but one day I lapsed into E.. more..
