A faith
comes into play
When everything else fails
When a house of cards
Tumbles down like
A fragile lady the stairs
Without a bannister
For the footing to be saved
Without a step ladder
To reach the summit
Of the drudgery's end
Passing a baton
To the priest's hand
Giving absolution to
A kneeling sinner
Eating a biscuit
Like a bread during the last dinner
Drinking a wine
As if it were sanctified blood
As if bad deeds
Could be redeemed
As if filthy animosity
Could be remedied
During a father-in-heaven plea
Whispered in tears
A faith comes into play
Whenever ailments
Pills won't mitigate
And a battle waged
Among pathogens and cells
Persists despite
Consuming a medicine shelf
But why
If hope never dies
But why
If whichever God
Hasn't been seen once
Why the eyes
Rest on the sky
If herbs on the ground
Disseminate healing bites
Why not looking around!
Exploring and thinking out loud
Grabbing a tangible
Terrestrial cure available
Planting seeds of
Positive beliefs
Like those of athletes
As strong as long-living trees
Why not
Soaking in warm love
So blatantly rising
From within your twin soul...
...That ought to be our faith
Not damaging the brain
Saving millions of lives
Every minute, Everyday.
