Saturday

Saturday

A Poem by Kate

Saturday

Snoring you are

My lad

Under a quilt of no guilt

Green beans

Boiled in steam

A disinfected floor

Bouncing like a ball

Under the force

Of our clothes

In the machine

Being washed

Missy Elliot's modern a*s

Dictates to what's

You're bound to mess

I´m listening to her shrieks

Licking my cone

Of ice screams

Of strawberry dreams

About fleas

Rubbing your ginger floss

Off your ruddy crotch!

Saturday's sunny spells and

The doodly-doo of a cockerel

Shouting their sad farewell

Galleries with shabby sleeves

Already shut

Lasagne baked with cheese

Into squares cut

It´s time to sleep

So as to Sunday greet

I come from the Czech Republic. I've been studying English for several years (I am just about to finish my studies). I started writing "poetry" that doesn't rhyme in Czech, but one day I lapsed into E.. more..
