Mice

Mice

A Poem by Kate

I'm all yours
Flying on a tiger fur
Hurtling forwards on a rollercoaster
Free tickets to youth
Expensive rides to ecstatic boosts

Clouds gliding on the earth's ceiling
Relentlessly
Planes buzzing across the sky
Passengers on board having seizures
Fits of laughter
Tantrum louder and louder

Whiskey and soda shaking in glasses
Travellers dozing
Mice tip toeing
Tails like antennas detecting
No cats in sight
No need to fright

Looking out of the window
Constricting eyes due to sunrise
Stooping a little in the airy seat
Convulsing while nodding
You're slipping away from clutching
My hand already sweating
You're twitching while sexually dreaming
Your erection subsides
When a dowdy woman
Replaces a young, lush, stylish sight

Punctuated by a flight attendant
Attending to your feet
Chafing your fly with her sweater
A seductive harlot smudging your neck
With an indelible mark of a cheat
Wake up, you're my hunk!

Stop dreaming now
We are touching down
A foreign Terra inferno
Lying prone in its green nappies
With brown turds
Blue lakes of wee
And harsh destinies
Grab me like you grab your circumcision
Let's face it
We belong together!
