Ignorance

Ignorance

A Poem by Kate

I'm drilling your initials - Into the bathroom tiles Hanging around somewhere In the middle of the alphabet Like two piercings clipped On two secret spots One in my vulva And the other In the belly bottom Waiting to be adorned By whipping cream And licked by a slimy tongue of yours!

I'm drilling with my goggles - Sitting on my nose - Clinging to me - Instead of you Laughing insanely like a crazed person Madder than a hatter - Like a lunatic - Lodged among branches of a tree - Swaying from side to side - In the rhythm of a stormy night Having lost the sense of time At last! I thought the moment will go past me Like your ignorance Crawling beside the hips of my bed...

I'm being dusted by the ashes Of my loving Of my memories Which I'm about to execute By walling them in mercilessly Next to the poster Of dead Heath Ledger´s smiling head!

I'm drilling your initials While tears are streaming down my cheeks It's as painful as drilling my own teeth But you don't feel A pang of remorse Or of guilt Or any other feeling Ascribed to human beings You being too dumb and dull To be able to absorb pain Of any kind Let alone The one I'm suffering right now!

My strength is expanding Like galaxies in the Universe With every drill I'm also drumming a new beginning!

My stamina is expanding Like sparkles sprawled out On a couch of shared memories On a bench on which My legs used to be once draped over yours! I can no longer be infatuated You stubbed me out Like your smoking weakness Like your blissful ignorance!!!

Keep yourself to yourself In your den Wherever it is I no longer crave for Being a part of your life!! Good riddance, I'm not even obliged to At the end of the day, I'm not your tension-releasing mermaid!

The Bat for Lashes's drummer in Glass Is drumming a maze of obsession - Just listen... The waling of old sugar daddies Being trapped among green hedges Forever chasing me In lieu of the youth! What a shame! But I'm no longer intimidated either By their whisperings full of desiring or By your confident striding - Bearing an ignorant tattoo - Shaved out of your stubble On high-heels tapping your ignorance Onto a wharf of the sea's murmuring! As if I bothered As if I cared These processes are no longer at work Do you understand? You dumbhead?
