BlueA Poem by KateThe sky is glistening In all tones of blue And the paintbrush Of the skilful painter Is gently sweeping the blue off The shadowy white moon Shaping it Into a hen´s deformed egg Into your oval face Into an irregular stain Below the moony smudge, the bird pilot Is making its trajectory track As straight as a ruler Hidden in a pupil's pencil case On a school desk in a dull classroom Of long-winded explanations And given a homily now and then From behind a pair of spectacles Smelling funny Stinking of tedious years of repetition On and on and on again And the paint's rubber Is erasing the aeroplane's messing
Is wiping away The plane's streaking the space With motor stripes White and opaque Obliterating the view to the Universe Soon to be dispersed - In the God's mouth Soon to be inhaled by the Goddess - Of Seas and Rivers and Streams - Lakes and Ponds watered with blue Soon to be dispensed with Deleted from the canvas of playfulness
Of a human's atmospheric cage People are galloping around Without looking up Depriving themselves - Of the most beautiful Magical Marshmallow Hardly credible - Of the most wonderful Incredulous Rather sceptical The Smurfs day To be remembered only In front of the wintery fireplace © 2015 Kate |
