Call from a strangerA Poem by MurdockA spark of inspiration from a mysterious call.
Answered the phone one day at home while alone
A stranger with a familiar tone on the other half of the phone Cleared his throat with a loud thunderous note I inquisitively asked with a concerned voice and spoke “Hello who is this” cause the voice I didn’t know yet a surge of eerie feelings jolted my brain as the stranger clearly spoke “Hello” and the voice was just the same immediately he answered sort of seems like echo “Everything you thought I couldn’t I wouldn’t I did” I couldn’t move it’s like shouldn’t I couldn’t I did With reluctance I rolled “ what do I know you?” With confidence he said bold “ not as much as I know you” He continued “ I don’t have much time pay attention ill show you” Mentioned the time restraint my comprehension stuck like plaster paint “center of attention stop and focus on reinvention” “doubt is out of line with locus reassurance prevents condescension “ this guy was loco and my ear was getting loose the words fell through a loose noose this guys coo coo maybe he prank calls as a result of drug abuse “Im you down a rough stream in a sturdy canoe” “the way to get through is build your boat with bamboo” “dream ample and live with a fact the only one rowing will be you” “faith, dedication, confidence, and truth hold tight and never let go “Ask God for what you desire to know he will watch you from head to toe” “now this talk has reached its plateau and it is my time to go” “goodbye to me from a long time ago OUR dreams WILL come true you know” © 2013 Murdock |
